- Description
- This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.eps.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopses and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Navy Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, intends to purchase sole source from ADA Core Technologies, Inc. a GNAT Software Subscription consisting of one (1) GNA Pro Cross Development Environment for PowerPC Lynxos hosted on Solaris Subscription for up to five developers and one (1) GNAT Pro Native Development Environment for Sparc Solaris Subscription for up to five developers which includes a multi ple platform discount. These items will be used by Aegis computer developers to maintain and update Aegis Open Architecture source code. The ACC mission is to provide lifecycle support for the Aegis class computer programs applications hosted on Aegis class Cruisers and Destroyers. Lifecycle support includes maintaining, updating, delivering and installing the Aegis computer programs. The Aegis initial class computer programs are developed in Moorestown by Lockheed Martin. Lockheed Martin has selected this tool to assist in maintaining and updating Aegis Open Architecture source code. The sole source nature of the procurement is to retain compatibility with the Aegis computer program developers and the Aegis fleet. These items will be acquired using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The closing date is 28 July 2004, 2:00pm. Anticipated award date is 3 August 2004. Al l items are to be provided FOB Destination, Dahlgren, VA. Delivery shall be 30 days. THE GOVERNMENT WILL NOT ISSUE A WRITTEN REQUEST FOR QUOTE AS ALL ITEMS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THIS NOTICE.
