Description
The Navy intends to solicit for an increase to the existing level of effort to the option 3 quantity of contract N00140-01-D-1504 with CSC, Systems and Solutions, LLC in order to meet anticipated FY 05 tasking. The increased estimated level of effort will consist of approximately 300,000 hours, and the period of performance shall run from 1 Oct. 2004 through 30 September 2005. The resultant contractual action shall be a modification to N00140-01-D-1504, and it will be negotiated on a sole source basis with CSC under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Services include but are not limited to computer systems administration, technical support, facilities planning, data entry, production support, multi-media systems support, system development/software maintenance functions (including ancillary functions), and hardware assessment. Services will be performed at various U.S. Naval facilities throughout the CONUS, with Pensacola, FL as the hub, and San Diego, CA, Norfolk, VA, and Great Lakes, IL as major focal points. The contract is a cost plus fixed fee, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity type contract against which task orders are issued. This action is necessary in order to meet all projected requirements on the existing contract while a competitive, follow-on acquisition can be processed. It is anticipated that this follow-on acquisition will be issued in an October/November 2004 timeframe, with notice of this action appearing in the fedbizopps.gov website in an Aug/Sept. timeframe. See Note 22.
