- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) intends to issue a Request For Quotation (TIRMS-04-Q-00118) for the installation of all data and voice communications wiring on the 5th and 6th floors of the IRS facilities located at the U.S. Bank Financial Center, 1550 American Blvd, Bloomington, MN 55425. There are 210 locations with 210 voice and 214 data drops. Copper and fiber backbone cabling is also needed. The provided drawings are preliminary in nature, therefore subject to change. The successful offeror will supply all materials (except as specified in the Statement of Work) and labor. This will include all cable, cable terminations, jacks and modules, all mounting hardware, Category 5E EIA/TIA 568A patch panels, labor and all miscellaneous items required for a high quality installation, i.e., D rings, cable ties. All wiring will meet or exceed EIA/TIA 568A standards and will pass data at 100 Mbps. The installation will comply with the Internal Revenue Service's Universal Wiring standard, and all conditions set forth in the Statement of Work. Wiring with damage to conductors, shielding, jacketing or cladding will not be accepted. Wiring which passes standard continuity tests but does not support either telephone connections or intended data Connections will not be accepted. The successful offeror must be properly licensed, bonded and insured in the City of Bloomington, MN. This acquisition is 100% set-aside for small business concerns. All responsible small business concerns are encouraged to submit a quotation. The NAICS code is 513390 and the size standard is $11.0. The RFQ will be issued on or after August 3, 2004. A site visit will be scheduled shortly after issuance of the RFQ as specified in the Statement of Work. Drawings of the affected area will be made available during the site visit. All interested parties are strongly encouraged to participate in the site visit. NO telephone requests for the RFQ will be honored.
