Description
The International Boundary and Water Commission (IBWC), United States Section, requires the furnishing of labor, materials, equipment and supervision to remove and install/seal new glass onto the Falcon Power Plant building. Work under this requirement includes, but is not limited to, removal of existing glass, caulking and miscellaneous material from building, cleaning of all window frames in order to install new glass, installation of 402 safety, laminated glass windows throughout the power plant (control room, supervisors office, sky lights), and installation of caulking, putty and miscellaneous material. Broken glass and debris shall be cleaned and removed from job site area. Contractor will provide lifting equipment to reach inaccessible windows. Safety laminated glass windows include: 378 each 29 ?? x 15 ?? and 9 each 47 7/8? x 15 ??. Grey safety laminated glass windows include: 9 each 45 7/8? x 15 ??. Grey insulated safety glass windows include: 4 each 33 ?? x 40 ??. Insulated safety glass windows include: 2 each 27 ?? x 40 ??. Place of performance is Falcon Power Plant, Rio Grande near Falcon Heights, Starr County, approximately 75 miles downstream from Laredo, Texas. Tentative dates for issuing and closing reference solicitation are August 6, 2004 and September 7, 2004, respectively. The work under this contract is to be completed within 30 days from the date of issuance of Notice to Proceed. A Firm Fixed Price contract will be awarded. The estimated price range for this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Request for RFQ should be submitted in writing to the International Boundary and Water Commission, U.S. Section, Attn: Irma Gurrola, at the preceding address. No telephone or facsimile request will be accepted. There will be no charge for the solicitation packet. Offers are solicited from small business concerns. Offers received from businesses that are not small business concerns will not be considered. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 238290, door and window construction contractors. The associated small business size standard is $12 million dollars annual average gross receipts for the past three years. See Note 1
