- Description
- The issue date for the following solicitation is August 12, 2004. The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms to design and construct a new Daisy Mountain Branch of 29,000 square feet on a postal-owned site of 174,000 square feet located on 43rd Avenue near Circle Mountain Road in Phoenix AZ. The new office is to have administrative office space, restrooms, workroom, IRT's, post office box alcoves, carrier loading platforms, mail platforms, and parking spaces and maneuvering area as shown on the schematic site plans. Estimated cost range is $3.5M-$4.5M. Project approval is in process and expected prior to contract award. The design-build contractor will be responsible for completing the design documents while conforming to postal medium standard building design (MSBD) requirements. The work may include design and construction of off-site improvements, and utility improvements and connections. Coordination with local jurisdictions, application, payment and submission for plan check and permits will be required and are the responsibility of the design-build contractor. Design submissions and reviews will be required at 50%, 70% and 100% level based on conceptual documents provided in this solicitation. The work is to be completed in 365 days after notice to proceed. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal is 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened.
