- Description
- The following solicitation will be available after August 2, 2004. The U. S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals from prequalified firms for the construction of a Postal Service-owned facility of approximately 28,000 square feet in Irvine, California to be known as Northwood Station. The facility will be located on a postal-owned site on League Street at Farwell Avenue. The project includes on-site surface parking and landscaping. The building shall conform to Postal Service design standards with some approved deviations including placing post office boxes on the exterior, a modified entry tower, and exterior elevations design that respects the Irvine Community Development Company's design guidelines. Estimated construction cost range is $4,000,000-$4,500,000. The work is to be completed in 300 days after notice to proceed. The proposal must contain the offeror's overhead, profit, bonds, insurance, and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The minority subcontracting goal is 11%. Offers will not be publicly opened. All proposal information will remain confidential until award. A bid bond is not required. A pre-proposal conference will not be conducted. Project drawings may be viewed at the Barker Blue Digital Imaging ePlanroom at http://www.barkerbluedigital.com.
