Description
DESC: The U.S. Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Interindustry Economic Research Fund, Inc., College Park, Maryland for a study of the trade and economic effect of currency valuations. This study is being conducted as a result of a mandate by Congress in which was included in House Report to the DOC 2004 Appropriation Act. The Department has committed to Congress to deliver a report on currency values by the end of September 2004. The contractor is uniquely qualified to provide the study that can meet agency needs in terms of technical requirements which require a macro model that is associated with input-output model as well as being able to accomplish the study within the very short time frame necessary to meet the Congressional mandate. Written responses to this synopsis shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement. This synopsis is for informational purposes only. See Notes 22 and 26. The contracting activity is the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, Office of Finance and Administration, Acquisition Management Division, OFA/Office of External Customers Division. The award will be made under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13.
