- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulations document (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number FA4600-04-T-0131 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2001-24. All applicable provision and clauses are included in the actual solicitation. This electronic announcement constitutes the only solicitation being issued. This procurement is set aside 100% for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 423120, and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The Government intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase contract for the following CLIN 0001, 0002, & 0003: Repair structural damage and trailer skin to include installation of structural reinforcement package on three trailers including one holding the HVAC unit. Remove inner panels and outer panels, reweld any cracks or replace any damaged structural steel at the neck area and install a structural reinforcement package and replace outer panels, installed with original huck type rivets and reinstall inner panels. Services non-personal: furnish all parts and labor to inspect and repair any damaged ribs, supports, and frame components causing the trailer to crack and bow the skin of the trailer causing the skin to separate from the inner supports.
