Description

The 184th Contracting Office is intending to award a sole-source contract to Mechanical Technology Inc. for a PBS 4100R Vibration Analyzer and Remote Charge Converter (RCC). The part numbers for the PBS-4100R and Remote Charge Converter are 8900-4507C and 8000-5223-6 respectively. This purchase will be made under simplified acquisition procedures. The anticipated award date is 6 August 2004. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 10 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
