Description
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) has a requirement for fuels management services to accomplish the following: The Zortman, Montana Stewardship project will utilize commercial forest thinning services in which the contractor will complete the following: Develop and submit a Treatment Plan and Schedule to accomplish the project objectives and organize and direct all of the equipment and personnel needed to fully accomplish the work. The contractor shall furnish all technical expertise, labor, equipment, supervision, transportation, operating supplies, and incidentals necessary to complete the work required. The Treatment Plan and Schedule will be agreed upon by both parties and incorporated into the contract. All changes to the Treatment Plan will be agreed to prior to the changes taking effect. The period of performance will begin on or about October 15, 2004 and continue for approximately six months. This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses under NAICS 115310. This solicitation will be available on or about August 2, 2004. A pre-proposal site tour will be held on August 18, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Participants will meet at Buffs picnic area, Zortman, MT. Potential offerors are to provide their own transportation at no cost to the Government. The Government assumes no liability on behalf of offerors attending the site visit. Offerors planning to attend the site visit tour shall contact Bruce Reid, (406) 538-1960 or Jennifer Walker, (406) 538-1982 at least 48 hours before the scheduled site visit and advise him of the firms name and number of persons that will attend. Potential offerors may obtain a copy of the solicitation at http://www.fedbizopps.gov or http://ideasec.nbc.gov. No hard copies of the solicitation will be provided. Contractors must be registered at http://www.ccr.gov to be considered eligible for award. Facsimile proposals will not be accepted.
