- Response to Questions (Set 1 of 2) - It is anticipated Set 2 will be released tomorrow. Question 1.) Does the SEC want real-time reports of Web site performance, alerts when service performance in degrading or interrupted, and diagnostic information that allows for quick remedial action? The request is for web page content to identify areas on the sites that are the heaviest utilized and allow us to capability to track this and re-design the page to better serve the end users. We already have procedures/equipment in place to monitor the infrastructure for bottle necks, etc. 2.) What Web monitoring tools are currently being used? We don?t currently have one. 3.) Will the SEC consider an off-site hosted service to fulfill any of the requirements? No, we need the capability to monitor our sites internally. 4.) What are the versions of the software (i.e. Sybase, Tomcat, etc.) used in the production system? Sybase 12.X and Tomcat 4.01.X. 5.) C.A2.2 SEC Policy and Procedures. The tool shall comply with the SEC Section 508 Policy located at http://wapps.sec.gov/oit/oit_docs/Section508Policy.doc. This information is not open via public access. Would the SEC provide a working link so the requirement can be reviewed? No, the requirement is found in Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, as amended. Under Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act, agencies must provide employees and members of the public who have disabilities access to electronic and information technology that is comparable to the access available to employees and members of the public who are not individuals with disabilities. The law applies to all Federal agencies when they develop, procure, maintain, or use electronic and information technology. Section 508 was enacted to eliminate barriers in information technology, to make available new opportunities for people with disabilities, and to encourage development of technologies that will help achieve these goals. 6.) Is Test Director provided by Mercury Interactive? Will it be used for independent testing during the two weeks? Yes, but design & report testing will also be done for functionally.
