- Description
- The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA),Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP FSIS-25-B-04) for conducting sample analyses for microbiological base lines for large volumes of raw ground beef components. This procurement is being conducted as a Commercial Item acquisition under FAR Part 12. The contractor will be responsible for quantitative analysis of 2000 RGBC samples for target microorganisms using the analytical protocols specified in the solicitation and estimated additions of 100, 500, and 1000 samples. Offerors are required to submit a technical and price proposal for evaluation by the Government. It is anticipated that a single Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract will be awarded however, multiple awards may be made if it is determined to be in the best interest of the government. The period of performance will be for a 12 month base period plus four (4) additional 12 month option periods. Award(s) will be made to the offeror who submits the proposal considered most advantageous to the Government considering price and technical evaluation factors. The award will contain provisions for issuance of firm fixed price task orders. All qualified responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. The offers must conform to the RFP instructions and be received by the closing date specified in the RFP. The anticipated release date of the RFP is on or about July 27, 2004, with an anticipated offer due date of on or about August 14, 2004. The firm date for receipt of offers will be stated in the RFP. Any questions concerning the RFP are to be submitted in writing not later than August 5, 2004. The solicitation will be issued electronically and will be available as an attachment to this notice. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of the solicitation and amendments (if any).
