Description
The purpose of this Amendment No. A001 to RFQ No. HSFEMW-04-Q-0041 is to provide answers to questions submitted by interested sources and to extend the date for receipt of responses to this RFQ. QUESTION: Are the phone systems' PBX's analog or digital? ANSWER: Both. QUESTION: Will the Government accept a product with a direct digital interface? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: The patch cables are only 25 feet long, will all of the recorded positions be within 25 feet of the recorder? ANSWER: Yes. These are not patch cables but wires connecting the recorder in the equipment rooms to the phone instruments in the work area. QUESTION: Does the patch cable just provide a method of recording on demand? If it is a method of record on demand, will a simple LAN activated application be acceptable? ANSWER: Again, these are not patch cables but wires connecting the recorder in the equipment rooms to the phone instruments in the work area. QUESTION: Will the recordings be all telephone or a mix of telephone and radio? ANSWER: Mix of telephone and radio. QUESTION: Will installation and training, outside of the requested technical support, be conducted by each site: ANSWER: The Government will be perform their own installation at the individual sites, however, the successful Contractor must be ready to provide installation support as a part of the requested technical support. The Government also envisions that limited training will be required and this training should also be provided as a part of the requested technical support. QUESTION: Please provide clarification on the size of the required Digital Voice Logging Recorder. ANSWER: The Government's minimum requirement for the size is that the proposed system must meet the 20 pound weight restriction, as described in the "DESIGN" Mandatory Requirements contained in the RFQ. QUESTION: Except for radio, do all the calls use a PBX or key system that can be tapped? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: Do the user's have access to MS-Windows' machines for live monitoring and playback? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: Do the users have a long term archive need? ANSWER: Yes. QUESTION: Do the users need to share recording data between sites? ANSWER: No. The date and time for receipt of responses to this RFQ have been extended to Thursday, 8/12/04, 3:30 PM/EST. END OF AMENDMENT NO. A001 TO RFQ NO. HSFEMW-04-Q-0041.
