Description

Item Description: This solicitation is for the acquisition of items primarily manufactured by Eaton Aerospace LLC, cage code 99643. Items solicited are manufactured by or for Eaton; however, there are some items where other approved sources exist. This acquisition includes the purchase of part numbered items where Eaton is an approved source, and/or has supplied the item in the past, either directly or through dealers, whether or not the NSNs are ultimately provided from Eaton. Offerors should be aware that there is a potential for split awards. The intent is to award an indefinite delivery type contract for a one year base and four option years. Solicitation and NSNs will be available for download on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscc.dla.mil on its issue date. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. The solicitation will be available in FedBizOpps on its issue date of April 30, 2004. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This proposed procurement includes a family group of items within the Federal Supply Class 4320, 4720, 4810, 4820, 5930, 5935, 5945, 5950. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation.
