Description
NA 1.. Question: Line item 0001: How many routers, switches, hubs are used in the TIMS network? Response: 3-4 Routers (some in failover mode), 4-5 switches, and 4-5 hubs. 2. Question: Line item 0001: How many TIMS users? Response: there are 450 to 600. 3. Question: Line item 0001: Where is FAA?s ADTN2000? Response: The ADTN2000 is the name of the FAA Wide Area Network. The Volpe Center has a connection to ADTN2000. 4. Question: Line item 0001: Does it require travel for the contractor staff? Response No. 5. Question: Line item 0003: How many field sites in total? Response: TMS has 85 field sites. 6. Question: Line item 0003: Does it require travel for the contractor staff? Response: No. 7. Question: Line item 0003: How much off hour support is needed currently (on average, hours per refresh, number of refreshes per week?) Response: There are 3-6 refreshes scheduled per week. Currently each refresh is averaging 2 hours. 8. Question: Line item 0005: Is the test lab already setup at Volpe, or will be setup at the vendor site? Response: The Test lab is at Volpe and will remain at Volpe. 9. Question: Does the management plan need to be submitted with the proposal, or will be provided after the award? Response: Yes it is to be submitted with your proposal. 10. Question: Can the three (3) evaluation reports... be written by the vendor itself, or has to be provided by its customers? Response: The evaluation reports can not be written by the vendor itself. 11. Question: We have worked on a few projects at Volpe center and can get past performance. However, the timing is so b ad - not just too short, it is the DNC week that many people are out. Can we provide references instead of written reports? Response : Written Past Performance reports are required. 12. Question: The RFP indicate Period of Performance begins on site, August 2, 2004 at the Volpe Center. How does the office arrange time to evaluate proposals and award the contract between 4:30 pm on July 30, 2004 (Friday) and the beginning date of August 2, 2004 (the following Monday)? How will the office notify the selected vendor over the weekend? Response: The Government?s intention is to award, the contract on time.
