Description

The Army Research Development & Engineering Command Acqusition Center in support of Army Research Laboratory, Weapons and Materials Research Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005 intends to award a 5-year , firm fixed price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a sole source basis, under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, with CERCOM, Inc, Vista, CA 92083, for the purchase of PAD SiC N ballistic grade ceramic materials in a variety of sizes, shapes, thickness, and material comp ositions which are exclusive and proprietary to CERCOM, Inc. This IDIQ contract will be limited for the use of RDECOMAC, MD contracting personnel. The minimum guaranteed amount of the contract will be $25,000.00. The maximum amount to be ordered is no t expected to exceed $9.5 million for the 5-year life of the contract. Award of the basic contract as well as the first delivery order is expected to be made in the month of August 2004. This notice constitutes the required publication of a proposed cont ract action, per FAR 5.203. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However all proposals received within 20 days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information rec eived will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No telephone requests will be honored.
