Description
This proposed procurement is being considered as a 100 percent set-aside for historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and minority institutions (MIs), as defined by clause at 252.226-7000 of the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement. Interested HBCUs and MIs should provide the contracting office as early as possible, but no later than 15 days after this notice, evidence of their capability to perform the contract, and positive statement of their eligibility as an HBCU or MI. This procurement is to perform laboratory tests in order to determine an appropriate replacement cycle for the loading tube pads. The loading tube pads are the interface between the steel and the missile. They consist of different layers of cushioning materials mounted on an aluminum frame. If adequate response is not received from HBCU and MIs, the solicitation will instead be cancelled. The type of contract will be fixed price level of effort with a funding limitation of $28,000.
