Description
We require eight (8) water content reflectometers and one (1) datalogger system as described below: 1) Water content reflectometers shall be capable of measuring the volumertric moisture content of a porous media without the use of a cable-testing device. Reflectometers shall be able to be installed down a 3.5" borehole and each come complete with at least 50 ft of cable. The reflectometers shall be accurate to at least +/- 2.5% and be able to be automatically controlled and sampled directly by the datalogger described below, with no other required equipment. 2) The datalogger shall contain a measurement and control module with a wiring panel and at least 128k of memory. The datalogger shall be capable of measuring sensors (water content reflectometry probes, pressure transducers, weather station, etc.), controlling external devices and reducing and storing data. The datalogger shall come with a 12-volt power supply with charging regulator and a solar panel, with at least 20 ft of cable, capable of float-charging the power supply. The datalogger shall be programmable and have data retrievable by a personal computer. All software and cables required for programming and data retrieval shall come with the datalogger. The datalogger shall include a multiplexer that, along with on-board datalogger capabilities, makes the system sufficient for the control and data collection of 10 differential pressure transducers (with either 0-5 vdc or 4-20 mA output) in addition to the 8 time domain reflectometry probes described above. The datalogger shall come securely mounted inside a weather-resistant enclosure capable of withstanding harsh conditions. Equipment will be shipped to the US EPA, 960 College Station Rd., Athens, GA 30605, shipped FOB Destination.
