Description
This amendment details the general requirements for stage and roof system: There shall be supplied, the equipment necessary to construct a strong and sturdy tower and roof system. This stage protective enclosure system shall be easily erected on either Plaza at the Kennedy Center. This is a basic list of equipment to be provided as part of the stage enclosure; Two (2) wing tower systems constructed from Layher Allround scaffoldingq system. The wing towers shall be 7?x 28?x 36?-25?h. The wing towers shall come complete with scaffold decks, cross bracing, ledgers, surround scrims and weather protective covers. One (1) Roof truss system shall be constructed using twenty (20) Thomasq GP 20.5?x 20.5?x 10? aluminum truss sections and bolts configured into five (5) spans of 40?.The trusses will be adjoined using thirty-four (34) 2?OD. Snapbrace spanner poles. The truss roof system will be secured in place by 15,000lb rated black ratchet and friction straps, securing truss to scaffold spanner beams. The trusses will be hoisted into place by the use of a block and fall or chain hoist system. The rigging apparatus for the blocks or chain motors to attach to the scaffold system shall be provided. One (1) Roof skin measuring 44?x 28? fabricated out of 18oz. white Coverlite fabric. The tower and roof system shall be certified by a structural engineer, licensed to practice in Washington DC. The certification shall rate the system at 7,500lbs per scaffold leg structure with wind and weight loading. The supplier shall include set-up drawings and documentation and supervision for the first set-up. Supplier should have minimum 10 years experience in the construction and supplying of outdoor temporary stage and cover systems.
