Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA) intends to negotiate solely with Pitney Bowes Document Messaging Technologies, Ste 100, 2200 Western Court, Lisle, IL, 60532-3618, for the continued support of the following proprietary products: National Finalist Software. An SSA mainframe was upgraded and increased the power by 309 MIPS. Therefore the license for Finalist software must also be upgraded so that it can be used on the higher-level mainframe. SSA intends to purchase the National Finalist software upgrade to adequately support the mainframes. This is not a request for quotes; quotes submitted in response to this notice will not be considered. Interested parties that believe they can provide the required service must respond to this notice no later than 2:00 p.m. EST August 3, 2004. When responding to this announcement, respondents should refer to SSA-RFQ-04-0099. Responses should be emailed to Kathleen.Cooney@ssa.gov OR addressed to the Social Security Administration, Office of Acquisition and Grants, Attn: Katie Cooney, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, MD, 21207. FAXED RESPONSES WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for any information submitted. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged.
