- This notice is for informational purposes only. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to issue a sole source purchase order to the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA), 2000 L Street N.W. , Suite 500, Washington, D.C. 20036 for Health Plan Employer Data & Information Set (HEDIS). NCQA is the sole owner and provider of these data. Annual collection and preparation of data for HEDIS is rigorously standardized, requires special audit, and is both time consuming and costly for NCQA and participating plans. No other vendors produce or provide comparable health plan-specific data and it would be neither practical nor feasible to attempt independent replication of the process. This procurement will be processed under the authority of FAR6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other vendor will satisfy agency requirements. The proposed contract action is for supplies which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. This is procurement is not set-aside for small business.
