Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, Hampton, Virginia has a requirement for Electrosurgical Equipment. Sources are being sought for an Electrosurgical Unit for operating room procedures including: Autocut Auto Bipolar Auto Soft Coag and Spray and Pin point Coag. Additional equipment includes: Double pedal footswitch, explosion protected, Bipolar single pedal footswitch, explosion protected, Cart trolley w/storage drawer and shelves, Electrosurgical Generator, Double pedal footswitch, non-explosion protected. Interesting parties must submit product data in writing to Ruth B. Harris, VA Medical Center, Contracting Office 90C, 27 Averill Drive, Hampton, VA 23667 not later than noon local time August 9, 2004. Responses received will be evaluated, however, a determination by the Government to compete the proposed procurement based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with ERBE USA Incorporated, the only known source that has an Electrosurgical unit with superior performance that will minimize tissue trauma and improve clinical outcomes.
