Description

Contractor shall provide all construction services including labor, supervision, materials and tools to ?Relocate Nursing Education? at the VA Medical Center located at 50 Irving Street, NW Washington, DC 20422. This procurement will be an Invitation for Bid. Solicitation #688-51-04 has been assigned to this project. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for SERVICE-DISABLED VETERAN-OWNED SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. Bids from other than service-disabled veteran-owned small business concerns will not be considered and shall be rejected. NAICS 236220 with a small business size standard of $28.5 million applies to this procurement. Bid issue date is 8/13/04. Bid opening date is 9/16/04, 2:00 pm EST. A Pre-Bid meeting is scheduled for August 13, 2004 at 10:00am in Room 3D233 of the Medical Center. A second site visit is scheduled for Thursday, September 2, 2004 at 10:00am in the same location. Bid packages will be ready for download on 8/13/04. The solicitation may be downloaded from the website listed in this announcement. It is strongly recommended that you complete the solicitation mailing list available on the web site, especially if you are downloading your package. All requests for bid packages and/or drawings shall be in writing addressed to the Contracting Officer and accompanied by a $50.00 deposit in the form of a CASHIER?S CHECK, CERTIFIED CHECK or MONEY ORDER. Deposit is refundable upon return of bid documents in good condition. Any amendments issued to this solicitation will be available at the URL address. Bidders are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments. Telephone requests and faxed bids will NOT be accepted.
