Description
INDUSTRY DAY: Sponsored by the Air Force Space and Missile Systems Center, Detachment 12, Vehicle Operations Directorate. The Combined Test Force for Space (SMC Det 12/VOC) or Center for Research Support (CERES), Schriever AFB, CO will host an Industry Day informational forum on their next generation satellite command and control system. This event is scheduled for Thursday, 19 Aug 04 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Joint National Integration Center, Mod 1117 Conference Room. The address is: SMC, Det 12/VOC, Center For Research Support, 720 Irwin Ave, Stop N8-1117, Schriever AFB, CO 80912-7200. The purpose of this Industry Day is to provide interested parties and potential vendors the opportunity to receive information on the SMC Det 12/VO requirements for its next generation Telemetry, Tracking, and Commanding core system used at the Research, Development, Test, and Evaluation (RDT&E) Support Complex (RSC) located at Kirtland AFB, NM and the Center For Research Support (CERES) located at Schriever AFB, CO. Specifically, the forum will focus on presenting the Air Force's vision for a ground system evaluation in FY06 and potential procurement in FY07. In preparation for a ground system evaluation, SMC Det 12/VO would like to invite potential vendors in for a half-day, informational session to present them with a requirements matrix encompassing VO's perspective of the capabilities/requirements needed for its next generation satellite ground system used for operations at the RSC, CERES and, potentially, the Multi-Mission Space Operations Center (MMSOC). The classification for the requirements matrix and briefing is UNCLASSIFIED. Attendance will be limited to three (3) personnel per company/team. All notifications of attendance, list of names attending and phone numbers, and any questions regarding this announcement must be made, by e-mail, by Friday, 13 Aug 04 to Mr Kevin G. Cavanagh at Kevin.G.Cavanagh@schriever.af.mil. A courtesy copy of the e-mail should also be sent to Mr Charles Warrender at Charles.Warrender@kirtland.af.mil.
