Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation, RMK0E040088, is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition 2001-03. The North American Industry classification (NAICS) code is 541512 and the business size maximum is $18.0 Million. The proposed contract is set aside for small businesses. All responsible small business sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the Government. This office is requesting quotes on the following item: 0001: Provide all travel, supplies, materials, and personnel to provide Information Technology Consulting and Support Services for the BIA, Chemawa Indian School, Salem, OR in accordance with the Scope of Work (SOW). The QUANTITY is One (1), The UNIT is Lump Sum. The Government intends to award a firm fixed price contract. The period of performance is from August 16, 2004 through June 30, 2005 with four one-year option periods. The SCOPE OF WORK (SOW) is as follows: Scope of Work. GOAL: To contract with a company to provide comprehensive Information Technology Consulting and Support Services for the Chemawa Indian School (CIS) PC based Local Area Network, which shall include Technology Planning, System Administration, Routine Maintenance, Upgrades, Helpdesk Support, PC Repair, End User Training and Emergency Response. SCOPE: Network Support: Contractor shall support the CIS network during the school year by providing: 1. Off-campus Helpdesk Support for CIS Staff to report problems or request assistance by email, or phone. 2. On-campus Technician (part-time) to fulfill service requests from the helpdesk, perform routine system maintenance and network administration on a scheduled basis. 3. Network engineer to provide routine escalation support to on-campus technician. 4. Network engineer to provide on-campus maintenance and emergency support (7x24) of mission critical components. TRAINING AND ADDITIONAL SUPPORT: 1. Vendor will provide technical staff as required by CIS to implement any moves, adds, and changes to the network during the summer. 2. Vendor shall provide a trainer as required to train CIS staff on the use of technology. 3. Vendor shall provide a consultant as required to assist CIS staff with technology planning. VENDOR REQUIREMENTS: Contractor must provide technical staff that are trained and experienced with the equipment and technology used by CIS, which is as follows: 1) Microsoft NT/2000 Workstation/Server 2) Microsoft 95/98 3) Microsoft Office 97/2000 4) Novell NetWare 5x 5) Novell Groupwise 5.5 6) Novell Bordermanager 3.5 7) Netscape web server 8) Cyber Patrol 9) Compaq Pc?s/Servers 10) Dell PC?s and Servers 11) Intel PC?s and Switches 12) Cisco Routers and Switches. The Offeror shall provide the lump sum cost for the base and four option year periods with a breakdown of their cost to provide this service and provide a copy of their certification. The offeror shall have a favorable screening (applicant and suitability) determination must be made by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) Office of Indian Education Programs (OIEP), Personnel Security and Suitability Program prior to contract award.
