Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to make a single award for the provision of solid waste removal and disposal services for the Federal Correctional Institution located in Salters, South Carolina (Williamsburg county). The anticipated date of award will be approximately September 15, 2004. The contract performance period is anticipated to consist of a base period from date of award through September 30, 2005, with four 12-month option periods for renewal. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/bids equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The estimated quantities for the base period and each option period is as follows: (3)-34 cubic yard self contained compactors (contractor owned and rented by the Government) x 156 pick-ups, aggregate, per year and twelve rental fees, each compactor, per year; (1)-30 cubic yard open-top container (contractor owned and rented by the Government) x 13 pick-ups per year and 12 rental fees per year; (1)-4 cubic yard waste treatment container (contractor owned and rented by the Government) x 12 pick-ups per year and 12 rental fees per year. The solicitation will be made available on or about July 19, 2004 and will be distributed solely through the General Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information regarding this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The anticipated date for receipt of quotes is August 19, 2004. All responsible sources may submit a quote which will be considered.
