- Description
- This Request for Proposal is for rehabilitation of a lake dam. The project will consist of 1) Repairing the breach in the dam and installing measures to improve overall dam stability, 2) Removing all existing outlet works and constructing a system that provides adequate drainage for the reservoir and maintains water flow to the wetlands area that is adequate preserve vegetation, 3) Improving spillway to present erosion with armoring and provide required capacity, and 4) Installing means for access by disabled persons from the parking area to dam crest for recreational fishing. The proposed contract is located within the Rio Grande National Forest, about 32 miles west of Antonito, Colorado. The lake is approximately 6 miles north from the intersection of State Highway 17 on Forest Road 250. The performance period for the proposed contract is 20 calendar days. The magnitude of the proposed contract is between $25,000 and $100,000. This will be a firm-fixed price contract. The proposed contract is available under full and open competition. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered. The anticipated date for posting of the solicitation on the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fedbizopps.gov) is on or around August 9, 2004.
