Description

Items of work include: construction of a 2,700 linear feet dike at an average height of five feet; clearing and grubbing of the footprint of the dike and the borrow area; seeding on the top and side slopes; and installing a 31 by 39 inch inline water control riser with a 16 inch diameter PVC barrel. Performance time, including mobilization and anticipated weather delays, is 66 calendar days. The estimated price is within the range of $25,000 to $100,000. The solicitation is subject to simplified acquisition procedures with no applicable set-aside or price preference. The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990. The solicitation will be available for viewing and/or downloading from the website, www.fedbizopps.gov, on or about August 17, 2004. Interested parties are invited to attend a pre-bid meeting and site showing on Tuesday, August 24, 2004, beginning at 9:30 a.m. Meet at the Dogbluff Handy Mart at the intersection of Jordanville Road (SR 24) and Old Dogbluff Road (SR 62) 3.5 miles south of the town of Aynor in Horry County. After a brief meeting concerning the bidding process and the contract requirements, the group will leave for a tour of the work site.
