Description
This message is to notify interested parties that revisions have been made to the acquisition strategy synopsized on June 2, 2004. To assure that potential offerors, industry and other interested parties are provided optimal information and an opportunity to provide recommendations or questions about the Information Technology services to be acquired and the intended performance requirements, standards and expectations, the draft final Performance Work Statement is being released and a pre-solicitation conference has been scheduled for mid-July. Consequently, the solicitation release is being delayed to provide this opportunity and is now expected to occur in late July. A separate pre-proposal conference/Industry Day is still planned and will be held in early to mid-August. The Department invites comments, suggestions and questions related to the attached draft final Performance Work Statement. To ensure that all feedback is collected and addressed, it is requested that any questions, comments or recommendations be posted via the ?Submit Question? button on IIPS not later than close of business, July 7, 2004. Please do not e-mail or fax comments directly to either the Contract Specialist or Contracting Officer. Information or questions provided after this date will still be considered, but may not be addressed until after the pre-solicitation conference. A pre-solicitation conference is scheduled to be held on July 14, 2004 at the Germantown Complex Auditorium located at 19901 Germantown Road. Response to all questions or comments received by July 7 will be provided during the conference. There will also be an opportunity to ask additional questions during the conference, and responses will be provided to those questions that can be easily addressed at that time. A copy of all questions, comments, responses and any other information provided during the conference will be posted to IIPS after the conference. A separate pre-proposal conference is still planned and will be held approximately one week after electronic release of the solicitation. Due to current security requirements at the Department, interested parties are required to register their intent to attend the pre-solicitation conference by submitting the information provided in the attached ?Pre-Solicitation Day in Germantown? file. Please note that security concerns and space limitations require that we request all interested companies limit their attendees to no more than three; no DOE badge is required to attend. FOR COMPLETE INFORMATION, INCLUDING THE WORK STATEMENT AND TECHNICAL EXHIBIT FILES, PLEASE GO TO THE SOLICITATION AND CLICK ON THE FOLDER ICON. THE FILES WILL BE LOCATED AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE
