- The Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) is conducting sources sought synopsis to locate capable organizations providing services to develop and implement a leadership development workshop that will enable a group of 30 participants (20% minority) to engage in a national-level program to develop leadership skills. The purpose of this contract is to develop and implement a leadership development program that will enable a group of 30 participants (20% minority) identified as emerging leaders in allied health education to engage in a national-level program to develop leadership skills. The Allied Health Leadership Coalition will be a collaborative partnership of five national groups that reflect the majority of education and practice in the allied health professions. The five national groups are: (1)Association of Schools of Allied Health (4-year academic institutions), Health Professions Network (allied health professional associations), National Network of Health Career Programs in Two-Year Colleges (community colleges), National Society of Allied Health (Historically Black Colleges and Universities that offer Allied Health Programs), and American Association of Community Colleges (community colleges). The tasks carried out under any resultant contract require expertise in allied health education and allied health issues. The overall objective is to provide an opportunity for emerging leaders in allied heath education and practice to participate in a range of experiences that focus on preparing these individuals for future leadership positions. Experiences will focus on crosscutting, rather than discipline-specific allied health issues. The process requires the contract to consist of three elements: leadership workshops, mentoring, and leadership program products. The process also requires the contract to include (1) two 5-day workshops to be held in the Washington, D.C. area; (2) a mentorship initiative to team participants with key Federal, educational, and professional leaders, and (3) a requirement in which participants will engage in a project resulting in a final ?deliverable? product. Interested organizations should submit their capability statements demonstrating their capability to perform this work in sufficient detail to assess their ability. Potential contractors must have experience in developing and implementing a leadership development program. Must have knowledge about allied health education and allied health issues. Must have experience in meeting planning. Interested organizations must demonstrate and document in any capability statements submitted, extensive experiences with, and the ability to perform, the above tasks. Organizations should demonstrate capability to administer and coordinate interrelated tasks in an effective and timely manner. Documentation may include Government and commercial contracts, providing references (with names, telephone numbers, and email address) and any other information serving to document the organization?s capability.
