- Description
- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences intends to award a sole source purchase order to Drew Scientific, Inc., Oxford, CT, pursuant to 41-U.S.C. 253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This is a commercial item procurement for the hemavet multi species hematology analyzer. The hematology analyzer must meet the following criteria: be able to appropriately perform hematology analyses on rat and mouse species; have appropriate assay linearity so as to avoid repeat analyses on diluted samples; have the appropriate software and ability to perform 5-part hematology differentials on rats, mice and other laboratory animal species and have the computer interface capability to electronically transfer data into a study report format; require 20 microliters of whole blood to perform the assays. All responsible sources may respond by submitting a written narrative statement of capability within 10 days of date of notice to Elaine Shoaf at the above address or fax 919 541-5117. Response must include detailed technical information and other technical literature demonstrating the ability to meet these requirements. Responses shall also include itemized pricing that is sufficient to make a determination that competition is feasible. If no affirmative responses are received within 10 days of this notice to determine whether a qualified source is more advantageous to the Government, an order will be placed with Drew Scientific. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500 employees. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures, and it is set aside for small business.
