- Description
- The Federal Correctional Institution, Waseca, Minnesota will be issuing a solicitation to obtain beverage supplies and services. The contractor will provide a variety of soft drinks to include installation of equipment, repair services, parts, and labor for the food service department. The Federal Correctional Institution Waseca, Minnesota owns beverage equipment, and the equipment is currently in place. In lieu of providing this equipment, the contractor will provide repair service and parts to existing equipment. Repair service shall consist of services and costs for parts. Delivery orders will be placed by an institution contracting officer to the contractor in writing, telephonically, or by fax or other acceptable means to establish initial service. The contracting officer will issue the contractor an identifying number which shall be identified on the invoice for payment. The contractor is to submit an invoice fo every delivery order placed. Actual soft drink requirements will be placed telephonically from the institutions contracting officer to the contractor upon receipt of a delivery order from the institution Food Service Administrator for the flavors and quantities needed. All deliveries are to arrive at the receiving area (FCI Waseca Warehouse) between 7:30am-11:00am and 12:00pm-3:00pm or at the discretion of the institution. Deliveries shall not exceed two (2) working days or as agreed to by the institution contracting officer. Supplies shall be delivered Monday through Thursday with the exception of weekends and federal holidays. The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution Waseca, Minnesota intends to make a single award to a contractor for providing various carbonated and noncarbontated soft drink and beverage products which will include maintenance and repair service of equipment throughout the life of the contract. The contractor will be required to set the bricks to accommodate the contractor's product, along with all connectors, fittings, and fountain heads. Award is anticipated to be October 1, 2004, based on the availability of funds. The solicitation will be available on or after August 10, 2004, and will be distributed solely through the General Services Admininstration's Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
