Description

The VA Medical Center, 1970 Roanoke Blvd., Salem, Virginia intends to award a firm, fixed-price contract to a provider who shall serve as a contract Health Physics/Radiation Safety Officer for this medical center. Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, supplies, equipment and qualified personnel to ensure that radiation safety activities are being performed in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements in the daily operation of the licensee?s byproduct material program. Contractor shall be available to be on-station, as needed, as Radiation Safety Officer within three (3) hours of notification by the Chief, Imaging Service. THIS ACQUISITION IS A 100% SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS. The applicable NAICS Code is 541990 with a size standard of $6 Million. Contract period will be one year from date of award with four available option years. Solicitation packages will be available on or about August 3, 2004. This requirement is subject to the availability of FY05 funds. Solicitation documents may be obtained electronically at: http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov, Requests for Proposals #246-04-01618.
