- This is a reannouncement of a previous solicitation. This is a synopsis of the solicitation, not the actual solicitation. Attachments are not yet ready and will not be available on the internet. RFQ is to be issued on or about 18 August 2004. Work includes but is not limited to furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as well as performing all work necessary to repair fireplaces and chimneys in Army Family Housing, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. Most of the housing units to be worked on ar e historical. Typical family buildings in housing are multistory buildings consisting of two-or three-story high and some with attic space. Roofing materials for the above housing areas are made out of asphalt, fiberglass, metal or slate shingles and have a slope around 8 to 12 and 12 to 12. Chimneys height ranges from 5 to 11 feet high above the roof. The project scope includes custom chimney cap, pour new crown wash with top tiles, repair existing dampers or install a top-sealing damper, install a stain less steel flue liner, repair fire box. The magnitude of this project is between $25,000. and $100,000. This will be a firm fixed-price lump sum type contract. This acquisition is unrestricted . The size standard for a small business concern, including its affiliates, is average annual sales or receipts for the preceding three (3) fiscal years, not to exceed $12.0 million. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for this acquisition is 238140. Offerors are required to download the RFQ , specifications and any associated amendments from http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ (click on Find Business Opportunities, in the block SEARCH BY PLACE OF PERFORMANCE ZIP CODE enter 66027 and click on the START SEARCH tab at the bottom of the screen, locate the solicitation number and click on the highlighted SOLICITATION link, click on Solicitation 01, etc., click on See Solicitation. Failure to properly acknowledge amendments prior to date and hour specified for receipt of offers may result in quote rejection.
