- Description
- The South Dakota National Guard intends to issue an Invitation for Bid (IFB) to award a single, firm fixed-price contract for construction services of a project entitled Relocate Base Entrance, PN: LUXC 033692. Location of the project is at the South Dakota Air National Guard, Joe Foss Field, 1201 West Algonquin Street, Sioux Falls, SD. Contractor shall be responsible to provide all labor, equipment and material for the entire project which consists of construction of a new 240 SF facility including p avements, curb and gutter, fencing and miscellaneous security equipment; demolition of the existing base entrance facility and associated pavements. Site work to include: earthwork, concrete, asphalt, utilities and landscaping. General construction to incl ude: demolition, footings, slab-on-grade, CMU, brick veneer, canopy system, insulation, exterior metals and interior finishes. Mechanical work to include: demolition, plumbing, HVAC with DDC temperature controls, and other related security related speciali zed systems. Electrical work to include: exterior distribution, interior power, lighting, communications systems, grounding, and fire alarm systems. Construction services shall comply with the specifications and requirements contained in the IFB. The contr act performance period for construction services is 240 calendar days after Notice to Proceed is acknowledged. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Evaluation shall be based on price and award shall be made only after Contracting O fficer makes affirmative determination of responsibility for the potential contractor. Award will be unrestricted. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 1611, Highway and Street Construction. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310 and the size standard for small businesses is $28.5 million annual receipt for the past 3 years. Solicitation documents will be available o/a 18 August 2004. A pre-bid conference/site visit date and time and bid response due date and time will b e listed in the solicitation document. Interested contractors and their potential subcontractors are encouraged to attend the site visit.
