Contractors may view and/or download this solicitation and all amendments from th e Internet after solicitation issuance. Description of Work: Site Preparation and construction of a new pre-engineered metal building approximately 5460 square feet and associated parking to support the operations and training requirements for Tactical U nmanned Aircraft Unit (TUAU). Primary facility components include two open bay areas for storage and maintenance of aircraft, administrative offices, restrooms, and mechanical/electrical equipment space. Pavements include an asphalt apron outside the fac ility. Utilities include water, sewer, electrical, and communications. The contractor is required to submit a price and technical proposal. Each proposal shall contain the Offerors best technical proposal and best price. Award will be made to the lowes t price technically acceptable (LPTA) offeror whose price is determined to be fair and reasonable. The technical proposal will be evaluated utilizing the following factor: PAST PERFORMANCE. Proposals shall include sufficient detailed information to allow complete evaluation. The magnitude of construction is $1,000,000 to $5,000,000. The contract issued will be Firm Fixed Price. Network Analysis will not be required. The solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis pursuant to the Business Oppo rtunity Development Reform Act of 1988. The solicitation will be issued in electronic format only and will also be available on or about 17 August 2004 on the Internet at http://ebs.sas.usace.army.mil. Notification of amendments will be through use of th e Internet. No additional media (CD-ROM, floppy disks, faxes, etc.) will be provided.
