Description

The Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Fort Gordon, GA, has a requirement for a maintenance contract agreement for an on site government owned hyperbaric System W/Components. Hyperbaric chambers are used to administer hyperbaric oxygen, therefore hyper baric chambers and certain related accessories are considered by the FDA to be medical devices. Consequently, they are subject to FDA controls that apply to all medical devices entered into commercial distribution after May 28, 1976. Specialized training is necessary to be qualified to repair and maintain the chambers and shall be requirement for person working on the equipment. The period of performance for this requirement is from 01 October 2004 through 30 September 2005 and for three 1-year option p eriods. The funding of this requirement is subject to the availability of funds and is contingent upon Congress enacting Fiscal Year 05 Appropriation. The solicitation will be advertised and available for bidding on the Army Single Face Industry acqui sition website: http://acquisition.army.mil/asfi on or about the 16th of August 2004.
