Description

The Idaho Bureau of Land Management (BLM) requires a Paleontological and Fossil Resources Overview document ("Overview') for public lands administered by the United States Department of Interior-Bureau of Land Management-Idaho (BLM). The purpose of the overview is to provide BLM resource specialists and managers with a comprehensive summary document of the paleontology of Idaho. The document will describe previous research, known paleontological localities on surface lands managed by Idaho BLM, unique and significant paleontological localities and recommendations for inventory, evaluation and protection of significant paleontological localities. The overview document will consist of written text, maps, tables and data files which will provide managers and resource specialists with necessary information on paleontological resources for landscape-level plans (e.g. RMPs) and project-level analyses and decisions. This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. This solicitation will be available by electronic posting only and may be found at http://ideasec.nbc.gov/. The solicitation documents will be posted on or about August 17, 2004. Contractors are required to register or update their registration at the Central Contractor Registration website at www.ccr.gov.
