- Description
- Naval Air Systems Command conducted a Market Survey of Industry in February 2004 to determine potential interested sources who have the skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required to successfully develop Laser Guided Training Rounds (LGTR) and hardware. The results of the February 2004 Market Survey led the Government to issue a DRAFT Solicitation for interested parties to develop the LGTR and hardware. The Government is seeking responses from industry and interested companies are invited to participate in an Industry Day to be held in Patuxent River, MD on 31 August 2004. This conference will provide an open forum for discussion of ideas before the final solicitation is issued. Industry Day will entail a presentation by the Government followed by questions and answers and optional one-on-one side meetings with interested companies. Pre-registration is required. Provided sufficient interest warrants the presentation, the exact location of the potential Industry Day will be made available via the NAVAIR Electronic Solicitation Website http://www.navair.navy.mil/doing_business/open_solicitations under N00019-04-R-0157. All amendments will be posted at the same Internet website. Interested parties should regularly access the website to ensure that they have all amendments. Vendors that are interested in attending an Industry Day concerning Laser Guided Training Rounds should limit their representation to no more than three (03) individuals. Vendors shall provide the Name of the Company, Point of Contact (POC), Title, E-Mail address, Phone Number, Social Security Number, Birth Country, Visitor Birth City and State (if in the US), Citizenship and Country of Residence. This information shall be e-mailed to: Mary Brutkiewicz, mary.brutkiewicz@navy.mil not later than 11 August 2004. THIS SYNOPSIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. It is a market research tool being used to enlist industries comments and to determine the availability and adequacy of potential business sources prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal including the use of any appropriate small business programs. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. This synopsis is for informational and planning purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bid or proposals, and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government. The information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a competitive contract.
