- Description
- NASA/GSFC has a requirement for the following regional (greater Baltimore, MD) technology transfer spin-in and spin-out services: (1) match NASA/GSFC technologies with incubator technology transfer projects, (2) identify and provide spin-out technology transfer partnership opportunities for NASA/GSFC, (3) perform 3 to 6 valuation assignments for select Goddard technologies, (4) perform outreach function for NASA/GSFC Technology Transfer Program, and (5) develop and implement incubator spin-in program for NASA/GSFC. NASA/GSFC intends to purchase the services from the Maryland Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO) by authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1). MEDCO has provided these and similar services to NASA/GSFC for nearly 6 years. By using MEDCO as its source, NASA/GSFC will avoid the substantial duplication of cost that would be incurred by another source to build a business infrastructure and develop a database that corresponds with NASA/GSFC's unique technology transfer needs, both of which MEDCO already has in place. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. See note 22. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice.
