Description

This combined synopsis/solicitation is for two D-6 type dozers to crush standing brush within the boundaries of the Aguanga Fuelbreak systems. Starting point will be from the High Point, south along the Palomar Divide Road towards Hwy. 79. Project area covers approximately 500 acres of mixed brush ranging from 2 to 7 feet high on moderate slopes with some rocks. All standing brush within the fuelbreak is targeted for crushing. This project is located on the Cleveland National Forest on the Palomar Ranger District. Government is estimate is between $25,000.00 and $100,000.00. NAICS 115310 SBA size standard is $6.0 million. Contract time is 6 weeks with a November 2004 start date. Quotations should be bid at an hourly rate for the machine and operator which includes all time under hire (time under hire does not include breakdowns and repair work). Hours worked will be verified and approved by the COR on invoices submitted by the Contractor. Payment will be made for actual time worked under hire.
