Description

The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground, (USAYPG), Arizona intends to negotiate a sole source contract with Telemetry & Communications Systems (TCS), 20860 Plummer Street, Chatsworth, CA 91311 on an other than full and open competition basis. Th e requirement is for upgrades to the 6-foot dual axis Autotracking Antenna Systems. TCS will provide Fiber interface cable, up to about 100 ft long, to replace the existing bulky multi conductor cable. The upgrades includes: New Antenna Control Unit (AC U-M1), new servo amplifiers, new motors, associated interface cables and Fiber interface for control; new slipring assembly with dual channel rotary joint; feed upgrades for simultaneous RHCP and LHCP RF signals. New LNA and Filter will be added; install camera system and provide necessary mounting brackets; two Telemetry tracking receivers will be installed in the ACU with setup form ACU; perform factory ATP. The ACU-M1 is manufactured by TCS and all technical data relative to TCS??????s ACU-M1 is prop rietary. Interested parties may submit technical literature showing their capability to meet the Government??????s requirement no later than 4:00 PM on August 18, 2004. This notice of intent is not a request for proposals. A determination by the Governm ent not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procureme nt. See Note 22, with the exception that the time period for the receipt of proposals for consideration is 10 days instead instead of 45 days.
