- Description
- August 16 Mail Bag Supplier Conference ? The U.S. Postal Service has developed a new mail bag using a polypropylene laminate with a hook and loop fastener and desires to share its current design with prospective suppliers. The current design and the parameters used in developing it will be discussed. Prints and samples of this design will be available for review. It is currently anticipated that the Postal Service may purchase as many as 30,000,000 bags of this design per year. At this time, the Postal Service is identifying prospective suppliers capable and interested in supplying the proposed design. The Postal Service reserves the option to consider and purchase product based on an improved design at a future time. Parties interested in attending this conference at U.S. Postal Service Headquarters are required to obtain confirmed reservations in advance by contacting: U.S. Postal Service Headquarters, Supply Management / MTE & Spares CMC, 475 L?Enfant Plaza SW Rm 4610, Washington DC 20260-6239 or send to fax number 202/268-3888. Each request must state the full name of each attendee and the supplier represented, the supplier's full mailing address, and a valid email address and phone number for confirming the reservation.
