- Description
- The USCG Engineering Logistics Center anticipates awarding a requirements type contract for searchlights. These searchlights will be utilized on the 75/65 FT River Construction Tenders (WLIC). The resulting contract is expected to have a base year with four (1) one year options. The place of delivery is FOB Destination to USCG ELC, 2401 Hawkins Point Rd, Bldg 88, Storage & Distribution, Baltimore, MD 21226. The estimated quantity over the term of the contract is 24 each. Material shall be delivered within 12 weeks after receipt of delivery order. order. NAICS 335129, SIC 3648, size standard 500 employees. The description is based on brand name (Carlisle & Finch Company) or equal, as follows: SEARCHLIGHT, 500 WATT XENON SEARCHLIGHT SYSTEM, W/ DISTANT ELECTRIC CONTROL, 45 MILLION BEAM CANDLEPOWER, REMOTE ELECTRIC BEAM SIZE FOCUS FOR NARROW & WIDE BEAM FLOOD APPLICATION FROM ONE VERSATILE LIGHT. SINGLE-HAND JOYSTICK SIMULTANEOUS CONTROLS SPEED AND DIRECTION OF SEARCHLIGHT. EXTERNAL MANUAL SAFETY BACK-UP BEAM FOCUSING KNOB. THERMOSTATIC CONTROLLED ANTI-ICING HEATER CIRCUITRY IN THE RACK, TRUNNIONS AND BASE. HORIZONTAL ROTATION EXCEEDS 360 DEGREES TO 385 DEGREES. PRECISION-OPTIC REFLECTOR FOCUSES BEAM TO 1 DEGREE. BEAM SPEED 28 DEGREES PER SECOND, WITH VARIABLE SPEED MOTORS, ALLOWING SPEED CHANGE THROUGHOUT A CONTINUOUS SPECTRUM. SEARCHLIGHT SHALL BE MARINE GRADE ALUMINUM & STAINLESS STEEL WITH SALT-RESISTANT, POWDER COAT FINISH. SEARCHLIGHT SHALL BE MOUNTED ON A RUGGED BASE WITH HORIZONTAL & VERTICAL CLUTCH ASSEMBLIES & BALL BEARINGS CAPTIVE IN STAINLESS RACES. MODEL X9398-HRF SEARCHLIGHT SYSTEM COMPLETE WITH THE FOLLOWING: (1) DE POWER SUPPLY P/N 4198PSDE-1, OPERATING AT 120 VAC, SINGLE PHASE, 50-60HZ, PROVIDES BALLASTED DC POWER, FUSED DISCONNECT SWITCH, DC AMMETER & TIME METER. (1) CONTROL STATION P/N C4-1M-1, WITH ADVANCED JOYSTICK, SINGLE-HAND OPERATION WHICH SIMULTANEOUSLY CONTROLS BEAM-SPEED AND BEAM-DIRECTION, CONTROLS BEAM-ON, BEAM-OFF, BEAM-SIZE FOCUS, BEAM-ON INDICATOR LIGHT. Data for Provisioning (DFP) will also be required which includes drawings, commercial technical manuals, catalog data and product specification sheets, which form the minimum data to provision a system or piece of equipment. Examples of the DFP include, but are not limited to: certification data, name plate data, component characteristics data, commercial specification sheets, end item/component prices, manufacturer?s identification, part numbers, shelf life and special material/operating requirements. An Engineering Documentation Package (EDP) will be required with the offeror's proposal. The EDP consists of, as a minimum, documents and data necessary for the Coast Guard engineers to integrate the Contractor?s equipment into the design of Coast Guard vessels. Examples of EDP include, but are not limited to: hard copy paper drawings, electronic drawing files, commercial catalog sheets, off the shelf tech pubs, photographs, etc. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency.
