- The Centralized Acquisition Service (CAS), VISN 6, Department of Veterans Affairs will procure a laser scanner/print plotter for Engineering Services at the VA Medical Center in Asheville, NC. All equipment offered must meet or exceed the Xerox Synergix 510dp System which includes scanner, controller, color scan to net, stacker for scanner, and HP 500 42" plotter. Specifications as follows: A. PRINTER: 1. Process/Imaging: Xerographic LED laser 2. Photoreceptor: Organic Microdensity 3. Technology Media Supply: Rolls (500' max each) with standard manual sheet bypass 4. Output Size: Min: 8.5" x 11", Max: 36"-82' (print), 36"-100' (copy) 5. Resolution: 400 dpi Process Speed: 4.5 ips 6. Throughput: 5 D Size drawings per minute; upgradeable to 10 7. Power: 120V @20A, 50/60 Hz auto detection B. SCAN SYSTEM: 1. Resolution: 400-400 dpi 2. Copy/Scan Speed: 2 ips at 400 dpi (copy and scan) 4 ips at 200 dpi (scan - 1 bit per pixel monochrome) 3. Image Scan: 42" x 100' maximum (will only capture 36" of image) 4.5" x 5.5" minimum Thickness: 0.002 to 0.5" 4. Document Handling: Standard large document handling system, automatic centering of image on output media 5. Scan to Net: Indexing, scan preview, link to raster editor, resolution selection (100/200/300/400), TIFF 6.0 CALS and PDF data formats, line or gray scale, TCP/IP Ethernet interface, line or grayscale; TIFF 6.0 JPEG, 8 (choice or 4 pallets) and 24 bits per pixel 6. Power: 120/240V @ 10A, 50/60 Hz C. COPYING: 1. Image Quality: Automatic background suppression/width detection of original 2. All responsible sources, who are qualified as Small Businesses may submit a quotation that shall be considered by the agency. Due date for receipt of offers is August 11, 2004, 3:00 p.m. EST. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services/items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are to refer to Addendum to FAR 52-212-1 - Instructions to Offerors for additional documentation to be submitted and a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications, Commercial Items, with its offer. Offerors should clearly mark their offers as their response to RFQ 246-01601 and may send by USPS or other ground delivery method, or hand-delivered to : VA Medical Center, ATTN: Jeff Benton (90C), 2300 Ramsey Street, Fayetteville, NC 28301 on or before the due date for offers.
