Description

The Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision and other items or services necessary to ensure that transportation of Government Mail Containers (All Nippon Airway?s UDLs). The transportation is between Hiroshima Airport and United States Marine Corps Air Station, Iwakuni via Sanyo Express way and performed in accordance with applicable Japanese Laws and trade practices. The period of performance is anticipated to be one-year basic period with Four (4) one-year options, for total five (5) years. The anticipated performance start date is 1 Oct 04. Offeror will propose a rate for transportation by trucks capable of transporting four containers and six containers. The transportation rate is including but not limited to tolls, licenses, costs of overtime, holiday work, or for operations during stormy and or inclement weather. Award will be made to the offeror whose offer will be best value to the Government considering the evaluation factors stated in the solicitation. The solicitation is exempted from set-aside for small business for all trucking services. A pre-proposal conference is scheduled for 20 Aug 04 at Yokota Air Base.
