Description
NOTICE OF INTEREST: The US Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command has a possible requirement for the following family of commercial or Non-developmental Item (NDI) vehicles to be exported to Southwest Asia for tactical military use, in support of a potential Foreign Milit ary Sale (FMS) Case. The following six variants are needed: 1) Personnel Transport/Command Vehicle, 2) Personnel Transport/Tactical Vehicle, 3) Cargo/Material Transport Vehicle, 4) Ambulance, 5) Maintenance Van, and 6) Light Reconnaissance Vehicle. Pote ntial total quantity of vehicle fleet: 1,500 to 6,000. Maximum commonality between each type of vehicle will be a decisive part of the award selection. Logistic support shall include a two-year warranty, maintenance, repair and spare parts in the country of destination, and will be required for the length of the contract. The acquisition strategy has not yet been clearly defined. Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 12 with supplemental information will be used. Only one award will be made for all requirements in the solicitation, possibly under a two-year, Firm Fixed Pric e Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity type contract. Funds are currently not available for this program. Target availability of funds is FY05 and FY06. Interested firms should contact the POCs below. Your responses will assist in finalizing plans for this effort and allow better definition of requirements, thereby providing a more clearly written solicitation to industry.
