Description

This is a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and a written solicitation will not be issued. The United States Senate Sergeant at Arms through this RFQ is seeking a quotation for a videoconferencing multipoint control unit with IP (H.323) bridging capability to be located in the United States Senate facilities in Washington, D.C. Mandatory Minimum Hardware Requirements: 1)Rack mountable chassis; 2) Two Ethernet interfaces to bridge multiple H.323 networks; 3) Capability to use IP, ISDN, and V.35 networks; 4)Support for H.264 multipoint calls in both continuous presence and voice switched environments; 5)Support for transcoding; 6)Support for H.239; 7) AES encryption; 8) 48 video and 48 audio sites; 9) Ability to schedule, upgrade, configure, and maintain using the Tandberg Management Suite. The proposed videoconferencing multipoint control unit must meet the minimum hardware requirements. Delivery shall be FOB Destination to the United States Senate, Washington DC 20510. Quotations are due to the POC no later than August 13, 2004 at 12:00 (Noon) EDT and must be submitted electronically via e-mail to acquisitions@saa.senate.gov. The subject line of the e-mail message shall be VMPU RFQ2004-02. The Quotation must contain: 1) Company Name, Address, Point of Contact, Telephone Number, E-mail address, DUNS Number, and Tax ID Number; 2) Pricing - The Offeror shall provide line-item costs for the basic system, all optional features/components, software/firmware maintenance, technical support, installation and training; and 3) Information on Offerors? maintenance, technical support, installation and training. Access to information in any files attached to the response is the responsibility of the submitting party. The SAA is not responsible for any failure to access information. The Senate or the SAA will not be responsible for any costs for the preparation of responses to this announcement. All information is included in this announcement. Telephone or e-mail requests for additional information will not be honored. THIS NOTICE CONSTITUTES THE ENTIRE RFQ AND IS THE ONLY INFORMATION PROVIDED BY THE SAA OR U.S. SENATE.
