Description
NAICS Code: 334516 The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) intends to negotiate sole source procurement with Dionex Corporation, 500 Mercury Drive, Sunnyvale, CA 94088, for the acquisition of a Dionex GP-IC Air Monitoring System. This equipment is needed to complete a prototype instrument for semi-continues determination of water soluble acid gases and ionic particulate components in ambient air. One component of the system has been purchased and is currently being implemented into the overall instrument . An additional ICS 200 and the sample collection components is needed so that simultaneous determination of both gases and particle components can be achieved. EPA believes that a critical need exists for purchasing the remaining components of the instrument from Dionex Corp in order to maintain instrument compatibility. The circumstance permitting "other than full and open competition" FAR 6.302-1 ?Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirement." All interested parties who believe they can provide the required services should fully explain their capabilities in writing within 15 days of the date of this announcement. The intent of this synopsis is to determine if any sources (s) exist and, therefore, no RFP is available. Consequently, any response(s) failing to provide the aforementioned data but instead choosing to merely submit a routine letter requesting a copy of the RFP will be ignored. Submit response to the U.S. EPA, Attn: Pamela E. Smith (MC-E105-02) RTP Procurement Operations Division, Research Triangle Park, NC 27711. No telephonic or faxed request will be honored.
