Description
Furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supplies, transportation, and supervision to replace the east and west cooling tower at the USDA, ARS, Cropping Systems Research Laboratory, in Lubbock, Texas. The work includes, but is not limited to Plumbing and Mechanical Hydronics, demolition and disposal, drain piping, water makeup, plumbing piping insulation, cooling tower, tower piping, automatic controls, tower piping insulation and heat tracing, branch circuit wiring and conduit, tower electrical connections and existing panel work all in accordance with the contract documents. The project will have two alternative bids, one for Phase I and Phase II combined into one project and the second for Phase I (East cooling tower) and Phase II (West cooling tower) bid separately. (the Government reserves the right to choose the most economical approach to this project). The contractor will provide all materials, labor, and cleanup to provide a professional job. Plans and specifications may also be picked up in person at the same address. All requests must reference IFB # 05-7MN1-2004 and contact persons name listed below. Estimated price range is $100,000 to $250,000. The period of performance is 120 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed. The anticipated IFB issue date is August 17, 2004, with opening date September 17, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Tentative Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for August 31, 2004, 1:30 p.m. at the construction site.
